Stop the speeding!

Support increased pedestrian safety in Kensington and Windsor Terrace. Add your name to the right to tell Community Board 7 you support the humps!

DOT is considering improving pedestrian safety in Kensington and Windsor Terrace by installing 15 speed humps throughout Windsor Terrace designed to slow traffic in the area. But DOT will only install the speed humps if approved by Brooklyn Community Board 7.

If you support these speed humps -- the most effective way to reduce traffic speeds in the area – sign your name  on this petition, telling Community Board 7 to vote in support of these speed humps, and better pedestrian safety in Kensington and Windsor Terrace.

Right now being struck by a car or truck is the leading cause of injury-related death for children in NYC, and less speeding means fewer deaths to traffic. We’ve already made important progress in reducing speeds across New York City. Let’s keep that momentum going on the streets of Windsor Terrace.

You can find a map of the proposed speed hump locations here.
