Take the pledge that you'll vote on the People's Budget!
Participatory Budgeting (PBNYC) Vote Week is almost here (3/25-4/2). It's the time of year when New Yorkers gather together for “revolutionary civics in action” and vote to fund community projects, submitted by their neighbors, designed to improve our neighborhood public schools, parks, libraries, and more.
PBNYC has become a powerful exercise in democracy -- at a time when our democratic system is facing very real threats. Collectively, Americans have done a poor job acting as stewards of our democracy, as a vehicle for coming together, across lines of difference, to solve problems. PBNYC is one of the best answers.
So take the pledge to vote! We'll be reaching out with more information about how to vote, about the projects, and will keep you in the loop as we head to vote week.
